OnePlus 9 to come with 50MP triple camera setup

The OnePlus 9 launch date hasn’t been revealed yet, but the smartphone is rumored to go official alongside OnePlus 9 Pro in Q1 2021. Ahead of launch, the camera specifications of the OnePlus 9 have been leaked via Slashleaks. The OnePlus 9 is tipped to have a triple rear camera setup. This comes just days after it was reported that the OnePlus 9 series may come with Leica-branded cameras. Separately, a new OnePlus 33W charger has also reportedly been spotted on TUV Rheinland certification site, hinting at its arrival in the future alongside an OnePlus budget phone.

The OnePlus 9, as per the report, will come with a 50MP primary sensor (f/1.79), which is up from 48MP on its predecessor OnePlus 8. The sensor will be marketed as ‘UltraVision’ and will be coupled with a 20MP Cine ultra-wide sensor (f/1.8) and a 12MP telephoto sensor with a large f/3.4 aperture and OIS.

As for other specifications, the OnePlus 9 will have a 6.55-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR content. The display is expected to offer an FHD+ (1,080 x 2,400p) resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone will be powered by new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GBGB of internal storage. The device will run on Android 11-based OxygenOS. It may pack a 4,500mAh battery.
