Samsung Galaxy W21 5G gets TENAA certification

Samsung had announced its first foldable smartphone – Galaxy Fold with Snapdragon 855 (7 nm) SoC and AMOLED display last year. The same device was unveiled in China as Samsung Galaxy W20 5G. Now it looks like Samsung is preparing to launch its successor “Samsung Galaxy W21 5G” smartphone in china. The Galaxy W21 5G has recently been certified by 3C and TENAA authorities of China.

The Samsung Galaxy W20 5G’s model number was SM-W2020. Its successor (Galaxy W21 5G) has received certification from TENAA with SM-W2021 model number. Currently, the TENAA listing of the Samsung W21 (SM-W2021) has minimum information on its specs. The images of the phone have not appeared yet at TENAA. The listing suggests that the upcoming phone will have 128.2 x 159.2 x 6.2mm dimensions and its cover screen measures 6.23 inches. It will come with a 2090mAh + 2160mAh (rated value) dual-cell battery. Samsung Galaxy W21 5G will unveil as the Chinese version of the Galaxy Z Fold 2. The typical value of the Galaxy Z Fold 2’s battery is 4,500mAh. The rated value of the Chinese model suggests that it could be equipped with a bit smaller battery. The 3C certification of the Galaxy W21 5G revealed that it will come with a 15W fast charging support. In comparison, the Z Fold 2 supports 25W fast charging. The Galaxy W20 5G went official in November last year. Hence, it seems that the Galaxy W21 5G may launch in China next month.
