Sony is preparing to release a new flagship smartphone – Sony Xperia 1 III that will compete with the likes of the Galaxy S21 and iPhone 12. It will also be the Sony’s most advanced device with impressive features. Today, the design of the upcoming flagship phone has been revealed through official-looking renders.
Sony Xperia 1 III in Jamaica
Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) has published several images of the Sony Xperia 1 III, and at least from the front, the device is almost same as the Xperia 1 II. It will have a tall and flat 6.5-inch 21:9 CinemaWide 4K HDR OLED display with very thin side bezels. The handset is said to come with 161.6 x 67.3 x 8.4 mm dimensions. The back of the smartphone will have a triple-camera setup with Zeiss optics. Hemmerstoffer claims the Xperia 1 III will offer a periscope/telephoto lens “that may help Sony to substantially increase the optical zooming capabilities.” The handset is also said to offer a 3D iToF sensor. The Sony Xperia 1 III will also reportedly have a dedicated shortcut button and a fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button. The smartphone is also expected to arrive with dual front firing speakers, 3.5mm audio jack, microSD slot, and 5G support.
