Xiaomi Redmi K40, K40 Pro, and K40 Pro+ announced with 120Hz displays

As scheduled, Xiaomi has today unveiled the much-awaited Redmi K40 series in China. The new Redmi K40-series phones have a small punch-hole display, a square-camera setup, an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, and multiple color options. While the Redmi K40 is powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset, the K40 Pro and K40 Pro+ come with the more powerful Snapdragon 888 SoC.

Xiaomi Redmi K40 has a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a tiny 2.76mm punch-hole. Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage that will be further expandable via a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 11-based MIUI 12 custom skin. For photos and videos, it has a triple rear camera setup which includes a 48MP primary sensor, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro sensor. There is a 20MP camera on the front for selfies and video chats. The phone also arrives with an in-display fingerprint sensor, a 4,520mAh battery, and 33W fast-charging support.

Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro+

The Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro+ have a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1300 nits peak brightness. The flagships are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Chipset coupled with Adreno 660 GPU and up to 12GB RAM. There is a 20MP sensor on the front for selfies on both phones. The Redmi K40 Pro has a triple camera setup that includes a 64MP primary camera, 8MP secondary lens, and 5MP macro sensor. The Redmi K40 Pro+, on the other hand, offers a 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor alongside 8MP and 5MP cameras. Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro and K40 Pro+ come with a 4,520mAh battery and support 33W fast-charging.
