Oppo Reno5 Pro+ goes official with 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor

The flagship Oppo Reno5 Pro+ is official now in China. It has a powerful Snapdragon 865 SoC and 65W fast charging support. The phone also highlights Sony’s new 50MP IMX766 sensor. The design of the Reno5 Pro+ is similar to the Reno5 Pro, which means it offers a punch-hole screen and a gradient color finish on the rear panel alongside a rectangular camera setup. There is also the Reno5 Pro+ Artist Limited Edition. It is exclusively customized by visual artist Joshua Vides.

Oppo Reno5 Pro+ runs ColorOS 11 based on Android 11 and comes with 5G support. The handset features a 6.55-inch FHD+ punch-hole display that supports a 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with up to 12GB RAM. The Reno5 Pro+ 5G offers up to 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. For photography experience, it has a quad rear camera setup which includes a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) 119-degree ultra-wide lens, a 2MP (f/2.4) macro, and a 2MP (f/2.4) mono portrait lens. The main Sony IMX766 sensor of the phone has a 1/1.56 inch outsole. The amount of light has increased by 63.8 percent compared to the previous generation IMX586. It supports full-pixel omni-directional focusing. This sensor also supports focus tracking for video. Moreover, IMX766 has also improved the dynamic range. On the front panel, the Reno5 Pro+ has a 32MP sensor with an f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. The Oppo Reno5 Pro+ packs a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging.
