ZTE, in September last year, had launched the world's first phone with an under-display camera. While the ZTE Axon 20 5G is currently the only smartphone with an under-display front camera, the technology is expected to become slightly more common by the end of this year. Samsung, which has been rumored to be working on under-display camera technology for a long time now, is also expected to unveil its first under-display camera phone this year. Today, Samsung Display published a video on Weibo, teasing its new OLED panel with an under-display selfie camera. However, this new under-display tech isn't meant for use in smartphones. It will be coming to notebooks first.

As shown in a video provided along with the announcement, Samsung's under-display camera technology will make it possible for notebooks to have nearly bezel-free screens with a screen-to-body ratio of 93 percent. The thickness of the display (and not the device) is only 1mm, and it weighs 130g, contributing to the overall thin and light profile of the laptop. This is a product preview of the Samsung Blade Bezel. At the moment, no further details have been shared for the laptop.
