Xiaomi Mi 11 will have Gorilla Glass Victus, live images leaked

Just a couple of days are now left for the launch of the much-awaited Xiaomi Mi 11 which will also be the first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 888 SoC. Today (25-Dec-20), Xiaomi revealed some important information about the key specs of the Mi 11 on its Weibo profile. In addition, a few live images of the device have been also surfaced online.

According to the company, Xiaomi Mi 11 will come with the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top of the display (this is the toughest Gorilla Glass ever). The same Gorilla Glass Victus will also found on the next year’s Galaxy S21 series. A video teaser posted by Xiaomi has also confirmed that there is a Quad curved display on the Mi 11 which means the display is curved on all the four sides and not just on the left and right side. Moreover, Xiaomi teased that the Mi 11 will come with the new display technology. The company said that the display on the new Mi-series phone costs as much as mainstream TV screens. Xiaomi Co-Founder and CEO Lei Jun additionally stated that the display could be the most expensive in the industry. A leaked teaser suggests that the Mi 11 would come with an enhanced sunlight legibility and deliver vivid colors.

We also get the images showing the four color options (Black, Blue, Purple and White) of the Xiaomi Mi 11. Finally, the hands-on image showing the purple color option of the phone has also leaked on Weibo that shows a leather-like finish on the rear. The camera module says “108MP” so there will be a primary 108MP rear camera on this phone. Another live shot of the phone (which shows the front design) reveals that it will have a 12GB RAM and Android 11-based MIUI 12.
