According to AppleInsider (who claims to have been contacted by someone working for a carrier in the Netherlands), the iPhone 12 series will launch on Tuesday, October 13. The same source also says that iPhone 12 lineup pre-orders will start on Friday, October 16. A recent leak from Evan Blass pointed to pre-orders ending October 23. This would be one week after pre-orders begin, so this latest report seems believable.

On the other hand, British Telecom CEO Marc Allegra also suggests that the launch of the new 5G iPhones is “just days away.” Apple is expected to unveil four new iPhone 12 models, including a 5.4-inch device that could be called the iPhone 12 mini. There will also be a 6.1-inch iPhone 12, a 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro, and a 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max. The iPhone 12 series should feature Apple’s new A14 Bionic processor, an OLED display, and 5G connectivity. However, a recent rumor says the smallest new iPhone may offer a less powerful B14 chip. The two regular 5G iPhones will get dual rear cameras. The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will additionally have a telephoto lens as well as a LiDAR sensor for improved photography.
