Today (30-July), Huawei holds an all-scenario smart new product launch event. At the conference, the company introduced a number of new products, including the Huawei Band B6, Huawei MateBook D14 (7nm Ryzen), MateBook D15 (7nm Ryzen), Huawei MatePad 10.8, Huawei Enjoy Tablet 2, and Huawei Children’s Band 4X. In this regard, the MatePad 10.8 is the company’s first tablet supporting Wi-Fi 6+. On the other hand, Band B6 is a new generation smart band from Huawei that comes in five colors such as Obsidian Black, Coral Red, Titanium Silver Grey, Camellia Brown, and Mocha Brown.
Huawei MatePad 10.8
The Huawei MatePad 10.8 features a 10.8-inch IPS LCD display (as the name suggests) that produces 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution and 280ppi pixel density. The tablet is fueled by Kirin 990 chipset paired with 6 GB of RAM. It comes with up to 256 GB of built-in storage. The tablet comes with EMUI 10.1 based Android 10 OS. The device is equipped with an f/2.0 aperture 8-megapixel front camera. Its rear is fitted with a 13-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture and autofocus.

The MatePad 10.8 has a big battery 7,500mAh capacity. It supports 22.5W fast charging. The tablet has pogo-pin slots on its edges to connect a keyboard. It is fitted with Harmon Kardon tuned quad speakers. The tablet measures 257 x 170 x 7.2mm and it weighs around 500 grams. Other features available on MatePad 10.8 include a fingerprint sensor, LTE, Wi-Fi 6+, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The tablet is now up for pre-sale in China. In terms of prices, the 6+64GB WLAN version comes at 2399 yuan ($342); the 6+128GB WLAN is 2799 yuan ($399); the 6+128GB 4G is 3199 yuan ($457); the 6+256GB WLAN (including keyboard) is 3599 yuan ($514).
Huawei Band B6
The Huawei Band B6 has the classic design of ‘Bracelet and Headphone Two-in-One’ form. It adopts a 1.53-inch 3D flexible color screen (a 50% increase in area). In terms of hardware, the Huawei Band B6 is equipped with the Kirin A1 chip developed by Huawei and supports the industry’s latest Bluetooth 5.2 protocol. The smart band also arrives with a dual MIC noise reduction, supplemented by a self-developed audio optimization algorithm. Additionally, the Huawei Band B6 supports dual device connection. You can also make calls by interacting with the voice assistant. The company claims, it is capable of providing 8 hours of talk time. The Bluetooth headset embedded in the Huawei Band B6 uses a liquid silicone headset cover. And the auricle fit design makes it more comfortable to wear.
In terms of sports and health monitoring, the Huawei Band B6 has more comprehensive and professional health monitoring, including heart rate, sleep, stress, blood oxygen, and female physiological cycles. It comes with nine sports modes. Among them, blood saturation detection is a new function. The Huawei Band B6 helps high-intensity mental work, snoring, high-altitude activities, and elderly people measure blood oxygen saturation anytime and anywhere through deep optimization of hardware optical paths and algorithms. The Huawei Band B6 also offers smart reminders such as text messages, incoming calls, alarm clocks, schedules, and functions such as checking the weather, scanning QR codes, controlling music playback, and remotely taking pictures.
