The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is finally here, and it does a whole lot more than tell time. Launched alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series today (August 5), the next-generation smartwatch is outfitted with an up-to-date collection of wellness tools and a sleek design to match. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 release date is August 6, which is the same day the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live will go on sale. Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is priced at $399.

The smartwatch comes in two sizes - 45mm and 41mm, with respective screen diagonals of 1.4” and 1.2”. The panel is Super AMOLED with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels and has Gorilla Glass DX on top for protection. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 can track 40 total activities, and 7 can be tracked automatically, meaning you won’t always have to select what kind of exercise you’re doing beforehand. The Samsung Galaxy Watch3 offers IP68 water and dust protection and is compliant with the MIL-STD-810G standard for durability. The battery is 340 mAh or 247 mAh, depending on the size, and comes with wireless charging. Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 runs on the Exynos 9110 chipset and packs GPS, a heart rate sensor, an ECG sensor, and a blood pressure monitor. However, the latter two are not FDA-approved, and will only work in South Korea at launch. All Galaxy Watch 3 models support 16GB RAM and an additional 8GB of internal storage for offline music playback. Unlike the 4-day stamina of the original Galaxy Watch, the Galaxy Watch 3 is rated for 2 days.
