Realme has scheduled for a May 25th launch event where the company is said to announce a new gaming-centric phone known as Realme X50 Pro Player Edition. This device was known previously as the Realme “Blade Runner.” Today (16-May), reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has published the alleged specs of this upcoming handset via his Chinese Weibo account. According to the tipster, the Realme X50 Pro Player Edition will have pretty much the same design and specs as the current Realme X50 Pro 5G.

The handset is expected to feature a 6.44-inches FHD+ display which supports up to 90Hz screen refresh rate. The tipster didn’t mention anything with respect to its display type, but it is likely to maintain an AMOLED display with in-display fingerprint scanner. Under the hood, it will continue to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 865 SoC which will allow the device to carry support for both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes. The Realme X50 Pro Player Edition is reported to come with a watered-down rear and front cameras, which is likely to make the device slightly more affordable than the current X50 Pro 5G. Its four cameras at the back will comprise of a 48 megapixels primary camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. At the front, it will still be having a dual-camera setup, but will instead be fitted with a toned-down 16 megapixels main camera and a 2 megapixels secondary shooter.
