Realme 6i goes official in India with 90Hz display

Today (24-July, 2020), Realme launched a new budget smartphone – Realme 6i in India. The Realme 6i is the successor to the Realme 5i which was launched in January 2020. The device is a rebranded version of the Realme 6s which was launched in Europe a couple of months ago alongside the Realme X3 SuperZoom. The smartphone competes with the Poco M2 Pro and Redmi Note 9. The 4 GB RAM model of Realme 6i is priced at RS 12,999 while the 6 GB RAM model costs RS 14,999. It will go on sale from 31st July via Flipkart and Realme.com.

The Realme 6i has a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The 90Hz display delivers full HD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The company claims that the Realme 6i offers a screen-to-body ratio of 90.5 percent. The phone is powered by the Helio G90T processor. The SoC is coupled with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB storage. It houses a 4,300mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging. As for the cameras, the Realme 6i has an AI quad-camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens with 119-degree field-of-view, a 2MP mono lens, and a 2MP 4cm macro lens. On the front, it has a 16MP snapper for selfies and video chats. The quad cameras support Super Nightscape mode, AI scene recognition, boke effect control, UIS video stabilization, slow-motion video shooting, and up to 4K video recording. The phone runs Android 10 with Realme UI on top.
