HMD Global took the stage at MWC 2018 in Barcelona. The Company has unveiled five new Nokia smartphones – Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 1 and Nokia 8110 4G. The Nokia 8 Sirocco and Nokia 7 Plus are the flagship devices, Nokia 6 (2018) is a mid-range smartphone, and Nokia 1 is a budget friendly based on Android GO (Oreo Edition). Besides these, HMD Global presented Nokia 8110 4G (keypad device) with Google apps and social networking applications. In addition, HMD Global announced Android One program for Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6, Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 8, and Nokia 8 Sirocco. It means these aforementioned Nokia smartphones' owner will get three years Android updates and security patches for free.
Nokia 8 Sirocco is the high-end Nokia smartphone. It is IP67 certified and has stainless steel body protected with Gorilla Glass5. The Nokia 8 Sirocco has traditional 16:9 screen, 5.5 inches P-OLED display, 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution, Android 8.0 (Oreo), 6GB RAM, 128GB Memory, and 3260mAh battery supported with Wireless and Fast Charging options. Nokia 8 Sirocco is powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset. The flagship device is getting Dual 12MP + 13MP primary shooters. There is 5MP selfie cam. Nokia 8 Sirocco will be available in April for €749.
Nokia 7 Plus is another Nokia flagship handset. It is the first Nokia smartphone to get 18:9 aspect ratio display. It is also the first one in Nokia handset lineup to be powered by Snapdragon 660 chipset. Nokia 7 Plus brings 6.0-inch FHD+ display, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, and 3800mAh onboard storage. It is supported with Fast Charging option. Nokia 7 Plus comes with Dual Zeiss branded camera snappers – 12MP + 13MP. One is wide and the other is telephoto. You can record up to 2160 pixels videos at 30fps. The front facing 16MP Zeiss optics offers you to shoot your best selfies. Nokia 7 Plus is priced at €400.
Nokia 6 (2018) is powered by Snapdragon 630 SoC. It measures 5.5 inches of touchscreen. There is 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. Nokia 6 (2018) has a 16MP rear snapper and 8MP front shooter. It comes in two variants – 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM and 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM. It is also supported with Nokia OZO audio. The Battery is 3000mAh and you can recharge it with Quick Charger. Nokia 6 (2018) Price starts from €280.
Nokia 1 is a budget friendly smartphone. It is the first one to receive Android Oreo (Go Edition). Nokia 1 comes with 4.5" qHD display, Mediatek MT6737 chipset, 5MP back cam, 2MP front capturer, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal memory and 2150mAh battery. Nokia 1 is available at around €100.
Nokia 8110 4G is a low-end and simple smartphone. It is fabricated with Polycarbonate. The device is equipped with a Keypad like Nokia 3310 (4G). Nokia 8110 4G is featured with 2.45-inch TFT display, 240 x 320 pixels resolution, Snapdragon 205 SoC, 512MP RAM, 4GB Memory, 2MP main rear camera, and 1500mAh battery.
