Samsung Galaxy S9 to have 3MP Iris scanner and dual VoLTE network support

A report from Korean Herald claims that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will have improved 3MP iris scanner better than 2MP of Galaxy S8. This will help you to secure device. The 3MP Iris scanner of Galaxy S9 will be able to recognize your eyes even you will be using glasses. The mission to improve iris scanner is to make banking transaction more secure. Further, the Galaxy S9 Iris recognition feature will be faster and it will take less than 1 minute to verify the individual’s eyes. Currently, the Iris scanner security is available in Galaxy S8, S8 Plus and Note 8 but near in future you will find this feature in Samsung’s next gen budget smartphones too.

Another report from Lets Go Digital says that the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus have seen in the database of the Chinese MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) and on the webpage of FCCID. The Galaxy S9 listed with the model numbers SM-G9608 (for Taiwan) and SM-G9600 (for China). The Galaxy S9 Plus has listed with model number, SM-G9650 (for China). The report suggested that Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will have dual SIM slots and both SIM will have VoLTE network support which means you will be able to get advantages of dual SIM’s VoLTE networks simultaneously. To support dual VoLTE feature the Galaxy S9 is expected to have Snapdragon 845 chipset which is the new high-end SoC of the Qualcomm and much faster than Snapdragon 835. It is said that the Galaxy S9 will be also available in another variant with Exynos 9 chipset. Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus will be launched in earlier months of 2018.
