Lava has unveiled a budget-friendly smartphone with a water-drop notch display design and dual rear camera setup. Initially, the Lava Z71 is available for purchase in India, while it expected to arrive in other regions soon. An entry-level Lava Z71 has a dedicated Google Assistant key, and it comes in two color options - Ruby Red and Steel Blue. The Lava Z71 runs on Android Pie-based Star OS 5.1, and it also supports the Face Unlock feature. It has a 5.7 inches IPS LCD that can support HD+ resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels at 295 PPI density. The handset is powered by a MediaTek’s low-class Helio A22 quad-core Chipset coupled with up to 2GB of RAM.
The internal storage capacity of the phone is 32GB. On the back panel, it has a dual-camera setup, which includes a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor for photography. The Lava Z71 offers a 5MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture for selfie experience, and there is a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. Camera features include professional mode, AI Studio Mode, and offers six level portraits as well. The smartphone packs a 3,200mAh battery that offers up to 50 hours of talk time, nine hours of web browsing, 8.5 hours of video playback, and 485 hours of standby time.
