Multiple reports have claimed that Samsung may hold an Unpacked Event in August to unveil its new foldable phones and smartwatches. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is expected to come with several improvements over its predecessor from last year. The phone’s design was leaked recently, while its specifications have been revealed over the past few weeks. The foldable phone has now appeared at the Geekbench benchmarking site.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 in Mozambique

The upcoming foldable phone has received Geekbench certification with model number SM-F926U. The listing confirms that the smartphone uses the Snapdragon 888 processor (codename: Lahaina) instead of the recently-launched Snapdragon 888+ chipset. The chip comprises a primary CPU core clocks at 2.84GHz, quad CPU cores with 1.80GHz processing speeds, and three CPU cores working at 2.42GHz. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 foldable phone scored 1124 and 3350 points in the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, respectively. The listing also confirms that the phone will have 12 GB of RAM, and it will run on Android 11 OS.

Recent reports have revealed that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will flaunt a 6.23-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O cover display and a 7.55-inch internal Super AMOLED foldable display. Both screens have HDR10+ and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will also come with the S Pen support. Other features include an IP68 rating, stereo speakers, side-mounted fingerprint reader, Samsung Pay, Samsung DeX, 5G, LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.0, UWB, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. For photos and videos, it is said to have a 12MP+12MP+12MP triple-camera setup on the rear, a 10MP selfie camera on the cover display, and a 16MP under-display selfie camera below the foldable display. All the cameras are expected to feature 4K 60fps video recording. The phone will pack a 4,400 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
