Motorola’s new foldable RAZR, which was launched in November last year, is set to go on sale in the USA from February 6, 2020. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Chipset powers the foldable phone, and it doesn’t support 5G connectivity. However, the company is reportedly to unveil a 5G variant of the Motorola RAZR soon. This information comes to us from the blogofmobile, which reveals that “Motorola Mobility will exhibit Motorola Razr at the 3rd China Industrial Design Exhibition held at Wuhan International Expo Center in Wuhan City, and launch a model compatible with 5G mobile communication system (5G) in 2020 in China.”

According to this information, it seems that the company firstly will unveil a 5G variant in China, and other countries may receive later. The 5G variant will likely be identical to the 4G variant of the phone in terms of design, but a different Chipset will fuel it. The upgraded RAZR’s 5G variant may come with a new Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G Chipset. Various reports have also claimed that it will have a MediaTek Dimensity 1000L Chipset instead of Snapdragon 765G SoC.
