Singapore carrier company SingTel has started offering Apple’s new iPads, iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 starting from today 24th October. Similarly Telco will also offer the Wi-Fi and Cellular versions of the tablets with different packages. These packages include combination of 5GB or 10GB with 2 GB SingTel Wi-Fi data space. There are multiple options of payments for different memory models and there broadband workability like 4G broadband 5GB is available for $29.90 and 4G mobile broadband 10GB for $49.90 on monthly installments for 24 months. Tablet top ups on 24 months payment plans is available for $15 per month. The down payment starting from iPad Mini 3, 16 GB to 128 GB starts from $99 up to $199 on two broadband that’s is 4G mobile broadband 5GB and 4G Mobile broadband 10 GB. Likewise the down payment for iPad Air 2, 16 GB starts from $229 and goes up to $469 for 128GB. For the same device on 4G mobile broadband 10GB starts from $0 and goes up to $269.
In order to avoid the upfront payment customers who buy this device from SingTel will be paying S$ 15 per month for 24 months in addition to the regular monthly subscription.
Presently Telco has fixed this payment plan to evaluate how its works. Maybe the future result makes them to bring any changes in this plan. This is the first time telco has worked out this plan and its success will determine the future course of action and fate of the plan.
