This is the upgraded version of previously launched handset named HTC ONE E8. The main interesting feature of the handset its 13 mega pixel camera with dual LED flash lights.
HTC try to break the trend and gives the new face to the handset by placing the high density camera inside the smartphone. The front facing camera of the handset is placed above the screen with dual LED flash and microphone. HTC placed another microphone at the bottom of the handset with noise cessation feature.
Both front facing and rear cameras can record 1080p@30fps video. The rear camera has f/2.0 aperture and a 28mm lens and the front facing camera has a wider 20mm lens but a smaller f/2.2 aperture for capturing the perfect selfie images.
Beside the camera the handset has many other features like the smartphone caries 5.2 inches big display with 1080 pixels resolution. The handset is IPX7 certified which means the handset has water resistance ability and can alive half hour under 1 meter water.
There is no doubt that the handset has better specs than the older one. It has Snapdragon 801 chipset and has the power of 2GB RAM. HTC gives 16 GB on board memory to the handset which can be extendable externally up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs Android 4.4 with the latest Sense software and two camera-centric apps. The applications are known as Eye Experience and the new Zoe. These applications specially designed for the camera. The handset is powered with 2400mAh Li-Po battery and supports all the latest LTE connectivity and with all these above mentioned features the handset only measures151.7 x 73.8 x 8.5 mm.
AT&T one of the largest USA carriers will offer the HTC DESIRE EYE exclusively but the offering price and the date of availability is still not know. Later AT&T delivers the complete information about the price and the date of arrival of the handset.
