Huawei Mate 9 Pro with Curved Screen and Leica Dual Camera Setup

Huawei unveiled premium variant of Mate 9 in China today. The standard version was launched back in this month. The major difference between Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro is screen size, the former has 5.9 inch screen while the Pro version comes with a 5.5-inch QHD (1440x2560 pixels) curved AMOLED display.


 

Specifications vise, the Mate 9 Pro is powered by 2.5GHz octa-core Kirin 960 processor and runs Android 7.0 Nougat with Emotion UI 5.0 on top. The Mate 9 pro comes with inbuilt storage options of 64GB and 128GB and memory options of 4GB and 6GB of RAM. In the camera section, the smartphone has dual cameras one is 20 MP and the other is 12 MP, both come with f/2.2, OIS, 2x zoom, Leica optics, phase detection & laser autofocus, and dual-LED (dual tone) flash. There is an 8 MP selfie shooter with f/1.9 lens and it can record 1080p videos.


The connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, DLNA, WiFi Direct, hotspot, and Bluetooth v4.2, A2DP, EDR, LE. The smartphone will come in Space Gray, Champagne Gold, Moonlight Silver, Mocha Brown, and Ceramic White colours. It features a fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, barometer, and compass. The Mate 9 Pro has a 4000 mAh battery which keeps the smartphone up.


The 4GB model is priced for CNY 4,699 (about $686), while the 6GB variant is available for CNY 5,299 (approximately $774).
