Chinese tech giant Oppo has silently launched a new phone - Oppo A16 in Indonesia. It has arrived as the successor to the OPPO A15 that debuted last year. As compared to the predecessor model, it comes with an improved processor, a bigger battery, and a better front camera. The device has a water-drop notch display and a triple camera unit housed inside a rectangular module. It comes in colors like Pearl Blue, Space Silver, and Crystal Black.

The Oppo A16 flaunts a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display that delivers HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 269ppi pixel density, 480 nits brightness, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The handset draws power from a MediaTek Helio G35 SoC that is paired with 3GB of LPDDR4x. The device ships with 32GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, a microSD card, and runs ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11.

There is also a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication. For selfies and video calls, the A16 has a 16MP front camera. The rear camera setup has a 13MP primary shooter, a 2MP mono camera, and a 2MP macro shooter. The front and rear cameras support up to 30fps 1080p video recording. The photography features available on the A16 include AI beautification, Dazzling Mode, and bokeh filters. The Oppo A16 comes with a 5,000mAh battery with standard 10W charging.
