A few days ago, Oppo A72 was spotted on Google Play Console listing, and today it has been officially announced with punch-hole display and quad-camera setup. The source reveals that it will arrive in Europe soon alongside the recently launched Oppo A52. Like Oppo A52, it also has a punch-hole display, SDM 665 SoC, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and quad-camera setup.

The Oppo A72 features a 6.5-inch display that supports up to Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels at 20:9 aspect ratio and 405 PPI density. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Chipset coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB storage. In addition, there is a quad-camera setup on the back and a fingerprint reader on the side, plus a 3.5mm jack on the bottom. The 5,000mAh battery supports 18W fast charge. The Oppo A72 has better cameras; its main camera has a 48MP sensor (up from 12MP on the A52) and its selfie camera takes 16MP photos (up from 8MP). The other three modules on the back are the same as the A52 – an 8MP ultrawide cam, 2MP macro cam and a 2MP depth sensor. The handset runs Color OS 7.1 based on Android 10 OS out of the box.
