Oppo to be the first to test the world’s first multi-party video call using 5G

Oppo becomes the world’s first which has successfully tested a multi-party video call on a cellular data connection smartphone by using 5G network via WeChat social media app. A customized Oppo R15 Pro is used for this purpose. This video call was made on this Monday on December 3 and lasted for 17 minutes on a 5G network with a bandwidth of 100 MHz. Oppo’s Six R&D Engineers were operating this call. They reported low latency and smooth connectivity. Oppo’s R&D engineers used Keysight's UXM signaling test set and 5G New Radio network emulation solution. This is for the sake of protocol and radio frequency performance validation in sub-6 Giga hertz frequency bands.

It is said that Oppo is working hard to become the first to launch first 5G commercial smartphone next year. The Oppo Foldable Smartphone is also expected for 2019, so the device may support 5G connectivity for twice advantages.
