Ringing Bells Freedom 251 with $4 Price Tag is World’s cheapest Smartphone

Ringing Bells, an Indian smartphone maker seized the attention of Indians by launching 4G LTE-capable handset under INR 3000. The device was launched earlier this month, today the company unveiled Freedom 251 handset. The smartphone is India’s cheapest and most affordable handset, we can say that it is cheaper smartphone is the world.

Ringing Bells made this handset with the support of Indian Government, the company aims to make the mobile accessible to everyone so Ringing Bells set low price for the smartphone. Now people in rural and semi urban areas can use digital technology at affordable prices. The company is focusing on innovative solutions for a brighter future.


The Freedom 251 features 4-inch IPS display andruns Android 5.1 Lollipop. The handset is powered by core SoC 1.3GHz, and has 1GB of RAM. The Freedom 251 has 8GB internal storage which can be enhanced up to 32GB via microSD card. It will have a 3.2-megapixel primary camera, a 0.3-megapixel secondary camera. A 1450mAh battery comes along the device to keep the light on. You can enjoy pre-installed apps in the mobile such as Google Play, Facebook, Fisherman, Swachh Bharat, YouTube, Medical, and Farmer. The company also gives a one year warranty with the device.


The design of the device looks trendy and chic and curved edges enhance the looks of the smartphone, it will definitely grab attention of many gadget lovers. However, Freedom 251 doesn’t feature extraordinary specifications, but keep the price in mind, it is almost impossible to find a 3G supported smartphone at cheap rates globally.


The device is priced at INR 251(approximately $4), and booking of the smartphone will start 6am IST on Thursday. Now smartphones are not costly anymore, everyone in India can enjoy a smartphone at cheap rates.
