Last week Xiaomi sent updates to its Xiaomi Mi 5 device, now the company has confirmed that some more of its smartphones will get software updates. The company confirmed about software update in a Weibo post by a Xiaomi’s representative.
The company has confirmed the list for Nougat updates; the list includes Mi 4c, Mi 4s, and Mi Max smartphone. Currently, there is no information regarding when the updates will be released. However, some reports say that might happen sometime in the first quarter of 2017. Some other smartphones will also get software updates include Mi 5s, Mi Mix, and Mi Note 2.
Lately, the company has announced MIUI 8 updates which carry numerous new features and customization options. The software includes many updates and improvements as compared to MIUI 7. Xiaomi has also released a list of devices that are eligible for software updates.
Previously, the company has disappointed its users for not releasing updates in time. But, it seems that the company will not repeat its mistake anymore. Google will also generate a list of Android smartphone manufacturers based on how rapidly they provide major Android updates. Moreover, Google, Samsung, and many other companies have sent Android 7.1.1 updates to their devices.
