Chinese phone maker, Meizu, is getting set to launch the Meizu 17. Recently, a smartphone suspected to be Meizu 17 appeared on AnTuTu. The AnTuTu result shows that this device will come with an LPDDR4X memory with up to 8GB. Considering that LPDDR5 memory has been mass-produced and commercialized, there are speculations that Meizu 17 will have both LPDDR4X and LPDDR5 options.
Looking at the latest flagship smartphones, the LPDDR4X and LPDDR5 memory seems to divide between high and low models. Meizu 17 may use this strategy. The standard version may arrive with LPDDR4X RAM, while the high-end variant will use LPDDR5 RAM. Considering the performance, LPDDR5 memory performance is stronger. However, the actual difference between the two is not big. Nevertheless, LPDDR4X memory is quite good, and many top-notch smartphones use it. In addition, the Meizu 17 will have a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The handset is said to power by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Chipset with a maximum of 12GB memory + 256GB storage. It will use a 64MP AI primary camera in quad-rear camera setup. The battery capacity is 4500 mAh, and it supports 30W flash charging.
