Nubia is reportedly to unveil the Red Magic 5G phone soon with Snapdragon 865 Chipset and 144Hz refresh rate. Now, the Vice President of Nubia Ni Fei has confirmed that the Red Magic 5G will have 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. In the Weibo post, the company’s top executive said he carried out a poll to find out if 16GB of RAM is necessary on a Red Magic 5G phone. The result of the poll showed people do want 16GB RAM phones. Based on the result, Nubia has decided there will be a 16GB RAM version of their upcoming Red Magic 5G gaming phone.
The president stated that “Two weeks ago, I did a small survey: Is 16GB storage necessary? As a result, more magic beans felt necessary. The game phone acts as hardcore, and the 16GB storage version is a must.” The leaked image on Weibo by Ni Fei also reveals that the upcoming phone will have model number NX659J. It will run Redmagic OS version 3.0 based on Android 10 and with January 2020’s security patch. According to the previous leaks, the Nubia Red Magic 5G is confirmed to have a super AMOLED display, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and a triple rear camera setup.
