Vivo Z6 5G is official – a new budget-friendly 5G phone with powerful Chipset and impressive design. The latest Vivo offering packs a quad rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary shooter, accompanied by dedicated wide-angle and macro cameras. The Chinese smartphone maker says that the Vivo Z6 5G comes with liquid cooling technology that employs a combination of conductive copper coil and a thermal gel to manage the phone's temperature during intensive tasks like gaming. It also sports a hole-punch design with an impressive screen-to-body ratio and packs rear-mounted physical fingerprint sensor. The phone comes with a massive battery that carries support for rapid charging technology.
Price and release date
The Vivo Z6 5G is priced at CNY 2,298 ($327) for the phone's base 6GB +128GB variant. The price goes up to CNY 2598 ($370) for its 8GB + 128GB model. It comes in Interstellar Silver and Ice Age (translated) color options. The Vivo Z6 5G will be available for pre-sale from Feb. 29 (tomorrow) in China. Those who participate in the pre-sale bring a 100 Yuan discount. Customers who participate in the pre-orders will be provided with a 599 Yuan ($85) priced XE900 earphones for free. The shipments of the phone will begin on March 8. However, the company has not revealed any details about the Vivo Z6 5G's availability in other markets.
Design and display
The Vivo Z6 5G measures 163.99 x 75.71 x 9.16mm, and it weighs 201 grams. As for the design, it has a punch-hole at the top right corner for the front-facing camera. The rear side of the smartphone has a rectangle-shaped camera module and a fingerprint sensor for authentication. You'll get a power button and volume rockers on the right side, while it has a dual-SIM slot on the left bezel. The bottom of the device houses a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port for charging and file transfer.
Talking about the display of the phone, Vivo Z6 5G has an IPS LCD instead of the AMOLED display. On the front, it features a 6.57-inch IPS LCD display with a punch-hole at its top-right corner. The screen delivers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a high aspect ratio of 20:9. It offers a screen space of 90.74 percent at 401 PPI density.

The display punch-hole features a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.48 aperture. The back side of the smartphone has a rectangle-shaped camera module. It houses a 48-megapixel primary shooter with f/1.79 aperture and 6P lens, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with 112-degree field-of-view and f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The quad cameras offer features like Super Night Scene 2.0, Hyper HDR, RAW format output, video stabilization, and 4K video shooting. Vivo claims that the phone can record 4k and Full HD videos at 30fps. You can also record Full HD videos at 30fps by using the front camera. The macro shooter with f/2.4 aperture can capture shots as high as up to 2cm.
Processor, software, and battery
The Snapdragon 765G mobile platform houses support for dual-mode 5G (NSA and SA) connectivity on the Vivo Z6 5G. The smartphone arrives with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and internal storage of up to 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage. There is no microSD card slot on the handset. The Android 10 OS, along with FunTouch OS 10, comes preloaded on the Vivo Z6 5G. Multi-Turbo 3.0 promises AI-driven enhanced performance. For gamers, the phone offers users with features like Game Space 3.0 and Game Box. The phone supports dual Wi-Fi connectivity. The phone also has Face unlock, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1, Baidu, GLONASS, GPS, and Galileo features. Sensors onboard the Vivo Z6 5G are an accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, compass, and gyroscope. The Vivo Z6 5G houses a massive battery of 5,000mAh capacity. The phone arrives with support for 44W SuperFlash Charge technology. Vivo claims that the rapid charging technology can charge the phone up to 70 percent in only 35 minutes and 100 percent in 65 minutes. The device is equipped with PC grade liquid cooling technology.
