There are a number of devices available in the market with affordable price, but Motorola is particular in their trend of launching the budget friendly smartphones loaded with useful features which accommodate the user under their budget. Moto G is one example that offers nice specs and pleasant experience to the user. In price, it is under $200 whereas in specs it is no less than a good smartphone. Let’s see what the device offer.
Design and Display
Like the other Moto G phones, this modest version is also made off with the plastic and available in more than 8 bright colors. The device has new pattern designed on its back and the metal strip prominent the rear camera and company logo. The Moto G 3rd generation measures 11.6mm in thickness and has 157 grams of weight. Though this is the budget friendly phone but it gives a premium and stylish look to the users. The modest version is heavier and thicker than the previous model. The new generation of Moto G has 5 inches display with 720x1280 pixels resolution and the display is protected with Gorilla Glass 3 which gives more endurance to the device. Though, the pixel density is not very high but quite reasonable in mid-range device.
OS, Processor, and Memory
Motorola phones belong to the Android family and runs Lollipop version of the operating system which can be upgraded later with Android Marshmallow. The device offered Quad Core 1.4GHz Cortex A53 processor paired with Snapdragon 410 chipset. The device also served with 1/2 GB RAM and 8/16 GB internal memory which can be increased up to 32 GB. However this is the budget friendly smartphone but it is able to do perfect combination of hardware which is able to handle all the basic tasks in a well-balanced manner.
The new generation of Moto G has come with some minor but known negotiable mistakes. It has 13 MP rear camera and has 5 MP front facing shooter. There is nothing special in the camera of Moto G.
However, the Motorola smartphones are not tough and expensive as Xperia SMARTPHONE but surprisingly the device is IPX7 certified means the handset is water resistant and can be alive up to 30 minutes under 1-meter water which is the biggest advantage of this mobile being a mid-ranger.
The mobile phone is energized with 2470mAh battery but the disappointment is here the power source is non-removable. There is no rapid charging available in this case. However, it is said that the battery gives 24 hours backup with mixed use to the users. According to the benchmark test, the battery gained 2596 score which seems excellent in mid-rangers.
Weak and Strong Points
Normal performance above than average, US LTE supportive, water resistance ability and friendly price are the biggest advantages of this mobile phone and, on the other hand, low camera performance in dim light, non-removable battery and no notification light are the disadvantages present in Moto G 3rd generation.
