TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared another report about Apple’s upcoming iPhone 12 series. This time, he states that the upcoming iPhone 12 family will have a ‘high-end’ camera lens in order to boost image quality. Also, the analyst has revealed that the high-end lenses that will be found in the Apple iPhone 12 series will start shipping later this month in July.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, “Apple’s manufacturing partner Largan will reportedly begin shipments of camera lenses for the new iPhones in min-July. Apparently, Largan’s estimated production window has been delayed by four to six weeks for the second half of 2020.” He hasn’t mentioned what kind of ‘high-end’ lens will actually be found in the upcoming iPhone 12 series. However, AppleInsider notes that the iPhone 12 lineup would be integrated with a 7P or seven-element lens.

To remind you, the iPhone 11 Pro sports a 5P lens for its ultrawide camera and a 6P lens for both wide and telephoto cameras. However, a 7P lens will greatly improve image quality as it increases the light transmission rate. On the other hand, some reports have claimed that the upcoming iPhone 12 series will not come with a charging head in the box. The reports suggest that only the USB-C to lightning cable will be available.
