A few days ago, Japanese tech giant Sony unveiled new Xperia phones – Xperia 1 II and Xperia 10 II at an online event. The Xperia 1 II is a 5G flagship smartphone while the Xperia 10 II arrives as a mid-range device. Prior to that, earlier this month, the Japanese brand also launched a mid-range smartphone called Sony Xperia L4 with a nearly-bezel-less display and side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Now, a new smartphone S20A, positioned at the entry-level by Sony, appeared at TENAA, China's certification agency. The listing doesn't reveal a lot of details, but there are enough to conclude that this would be an affordable phone. According to the TENNA listing, the Sony S20A measures 150.8 x 72.8 x 12.5mm dimensionally. For comparison, the Xperia XZ2 Compact (5 inch 16:9 screen) is much smaller at 135 x 65 x 12.1. A taller aspect ratio on the new model could account for the extra height, but the width suggests very thick bezels. The upcoming smartphone will feature a 5.45-inch display, but there's no word on the screen type. Additionally, the listing indicates that the smartphone will run Android OS and have a 4,000mAh battery capacity.
