Realme 5i unveiled with SDM 665 Chipset and 5,000 mAh battery

Realme has officially announced the “Realme 5i” with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor in Vietnam. Realme 5i arrives with a starting price of 3,690,000 VND ($160), and it is now available for purchase (in Vietnam) through the partnered online retailers of Realme. On the other hand, the company also confirmed that it would unveil this handset in India on 9th January.

The Realme 5i has a 6.52 inches IPS LCD with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The device is packed with SDM 665 Chipset and coupled with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB native storage. For selfie experience, there is an 8MP sensor on the front panel. The backside of the phone has a vertically shaped quad-camera setup, which includes a 12MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide shooter, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Android 9 Pie OS skinned with ColorOS 6.1 UI is pre-installed in this handset. It packs with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 10W fast charging. After all, in terms of specs and appearance, the Realme 5i resembles the Realme 5, but it has a downgraded selfie shooter, and it offers a less attractive rear panel. The predecessor Realme 5 has a 13MP selfie sensor and a diamond pattern on its rear side, while the new model has an 8MP selfie sensor and a plane back panel without any design.
