Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro are upcoming flagship smartphones from the company, which is expected to arrive in the fourth quarter of 2020. The 91mobiles has shared some patents of Mate 40 Pro, which are revealing that the upcoming phone may have a total of eight cameras. According to the design patents, the Mate 40 Pro will have three front-facing cameras and five rear cameras. The leaked patents reveal that the upcoming alleged phone may have a circular shaped rear camera setup for five sensors while the bar notch on the front panel will offer three shooters for selfie experience. Penta camera setup is an interesting proposition for smartphone makers. As we know that Xiaomi has already unveiled the Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro phones with 108MP Penta rear camera setup.

On the other hand, Nokia 9 PureView also has five sensors on the rear panel for photography. Hence, it seems that Huawei is also planning to unveil its next flagship series with five cameras. Furthermore, the Mate 40 Pro is rumored to have a 6.67 inch Super AMOLED display, a 4,800 mAh battery that could support 45W fast charging and 30W wireless charging, a HiSilicon Kirin 1000 (5 nm+) Chipset, and an under-display fingerprint sensor.
