Motorola has officially unveiled a new affordable rugged phone known as the Motorola Defy (2021) in the European and South American markets. The device is listed in Black and Forged Green color options. The key highlights of the phone include an HD+ display, IP68 rating, a massive battery, and a triple rear camera setup. The Motorola Defy is a product of the recent partnership between Motorola and Bullitt Group.

The phone has a 6.5-inch HD+ (1600 x 720) display protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus. It is fueled by the Snapdragon 662 SoC, and it packs in 4GB of RAM, along with 64GB internal storage. Storage capacity, as usual, can be further expanded via a microSD card. Android 10 comes pre-installed, though Android 11 is coming soon, Motorola said. A 5,000mAh battery powers this phone, and it can be recharged using 20W TurboPower charging. A Type-C port is also included, and it is waterproof. The phone is also IP68 certified. It is sand, dust, first, water, humidity, and salt mist resistant. It is waterproof up to 1.5m for 35 minutes, and dustproof up to 1.8m. This handset also offers a mil spec 810H rating.

On the back panel, it has a triple rear camera setup which includes a 48MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. For security, the Motorola Defy (2021) has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. To keep its lights on, the Motorola Defy draws power from a respectable 5,000mAh battery with 20W fast-charging support. In terms of dimensions, the phone measures 169.8 x 78.2 x 10.9mm. It weighs 232 grams.
