HTC is another giant take the part in IFA 2014. Consumer electronic fair held in Berlin. Before the event HTC launched high end Butterfly series. But HTC is the one who always respect the desire of normal consumers as well. HTC launched Desire 820 during IFA a mid range handset with high end specifications. This is the successor of HTC desire 816 the handset revealed before six months. Desire 820 is the first Octa Core handset of HTC and the handset has an ability to run new version of Android known as Android L. Besides these two amazing features the handset has much more for the users. The handset comes in two versions. One version has a single SIM slot and the other version supports dual SIM option. Design & Display
The handset is available in plenty of colors. The handset is easy to carry and has a large display for working. The handset is made up with shiny plastic but that does not mean the handset gives the delicate look. The look of the handset is strong and the plastic take away the handset from stains and finger prints. This upper mid range handset has 6.21 x 3.10 x 0.30 inches equally measure dimensions and carries 155 grams weight only. The Desire 820 has 5.5 inches display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The screen is good and wide for working and the pixels resolution is amazing and sufficient in all types of light conditions.
Software and Interface
Basically the handset is Android based handset so the handset runs Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat) operating system but the interface does not belongs from Android family. HTC give the space to their own designed interface which is known as HTC Sense interface. The interface provides a number of apps and functions and users are familiar with them. In the account of performance the interface performs well and delivers the qualitative animations to the users to the maximum extent of the handset. Users can easily download any run any desirable app as they need.
Processor and memory
Processor and memory are the most important components of the handset. Similarly in Desire 820 this is the most interesting part. It should have been equipped with 32 bit Octa core processor with connectivity on 4G, LTE it would have been something wonderful as mind range Android based phone. The handset is embedded with 1.8 GHz Octa-core Quad core cortex A53 processor with Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset and Adreno 405 GPU. Many times manufactures take the very uncertain steps which may affect the popularity of their products between the users. HTC is quite popular amongst the users but company did the mistake while placing the battery inside the handset. The company placed known removable battery inside the handset. There is no doubt that the handset is energized with powerful battery and take the power from Li-Po 2600 mAh battery but maybe the handset does not get so popular in the users because many users avoid the handset they have non removable battery because if any miss handling happens with the battery the whole set needs to be changed and the users will lose their data if they have in their handset.
Expectations
The handset will hit the markets in the last week of September or in the first week of October. The handset price is still not known but it is expected that the handset will stands in the mid range handset category because of the specifications. Hopefully it will meet the expectations of the users and will benefit the company.
