Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro Plus may have a 48MP primary sensor

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro Plus is in the news once again after a report earlier this month tipped the device would launch with Snapdragon 865 Plus Chipset. Now, the same tipster, Digital Chat Station, has tipped that the phone will launch with a 48MP primary camera instead of a 108MP sensor as seen on the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. While this is a substantial downgrade in terms of pixels, Xiaomi may have software optimizations in place to offer a flagship-level performance. In any case, it’s a strange omission for the high-end model in the series.

Moreover, the tipster also reveals that the Mi 10 Pro Plus could be the overall fastest charging smartphone of 2020. That means it will support the fastest wired, wireless, and reverse wireless charging standard than any commercially available smartphones in 2020. According to a teaser post by Lei Jun, this upcoming Mi smartphone may come with dual stereo speakers, x-axis linear motor, high refresh rate display, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, IR sensor, 30x or above zoom, front and rear optical sensors, 4,500 mAh or above battery, wireless charging, and VC heat sink. Earlier rumors suggested the Mi 10 Pro Plus will have a 6.67-inch waterfall display with 2,340 x 1,080 pixels resolution and a high 120Hz refresh rate. Speculations are rife that it may debut in the first week of August.
