Rather than launching iPad Air 4 (as it's been rumored), Apple has introduced two new killers, iPad Air (2020) and iPad 10.2 (2020). The good news, you are not saying goodbye to Touch ID. Two iPads arrive with a digital Stylus for creativity. The all-new iPadOS 14 is running there out of the box. As usual, we are allowed to choose between the WiFi-only model and WiFi + Cellular model. Both are 4G tablets (cellular model), and sadly, you have to wait for a 5G device from Apple.
iPad Air (2020) Vs iPad 10.2 (2020):
The main differences between two Apple iPads are display size, camera, chipset, and battery capacity. iPad Air sports a 10.9in screen, 12MP back camera, 7MP selfie shooter, Apple A14 processor, and 28.6Wh powerhouse. On the other hand, the iPad 10.2 (2020) comes with a 10.2in screen, 8MP main camera, 1.2MP selfie camera, Apple A12 SoC, and 32.4 Wh power cell.
There are two memory variants. iPad 10.2 can be bought in 32GB and 128GB storage. However, iPad Air (2020) is available in 64GB and 256GB ROM options.

Design
iPad Air (2020) and iPad 10.2 (2020) offered in Silver, Gold or Rose Gold, and Space Gray. The former is also available in Green and Blue shade. All colors are beautiful, but I selected Rose Gold for myself. Two iPads used to fabricate the aluminum frame, protected by oleophobic coating and scratch-resistant glass.
A 3.5 mm audio jack is present in iPad 10.2 (2020) while the premium iPad Air (2020) lacks it. The Air version is lighter in weight at 458 grams in front of 490 grams measuring iPad 10.2.
The location of the Fingerprint Sensor (Touch ID) is different. FR is there on top of iPad Air (2020) while it is mounted in the front of the iPad 10.2 (2020).
Display
The iPad Air (2020) is better in viewing, thanks to Liquid Retina IPS LCD Display, 1640x2360px resolution, true tone colors, and wide color gamut. The screen is larger at 10.9inches (bezels are minimal. Contrary, if we look at iPad 10.2. It has 10.2inches screen (as the name shows), Retina IPS LCD display and 1620x2160px resolution. Both have the same level of PPI density (264) and brightness level (500nits).

Software
When it comes to software, you can choose anyone between iPad Air and 10.2. Two tablets run the same operating system, iPadOS 14. The newer OS brings redesigned widgets, smart stack, apps with sidebar, better Siri interactions, compact call notification, Mac style universal search, Scribble for Apple Pencil.
Camera
The camera sensors and capabilities are far apart. With the iPad Air (2020), users can make 4k vlogs and can capture 12MP photos and 7MP selfies. You are allowed Full HD video calling. The other side iPad 10.2 (2020) gets an 8MP main camera (eligible for 1080p shooting) and 1.2MP front-facing lens (HD video calling support). Some additional features of the iPad Air are Electronic Image Stabilization and Slow-mo at 240fps.
Internals
Performance-wise, iPad Air wins the battleground. There is Apple A14 (5nm) chipset, that saves more battery power while running efficiently. Coming to iPad 10.2, it houses Apple A12 (7nm) chip that performs good but not faster than the newest A14. Both have a Hexa-core CPU and provide Apple 4 core graphics.
Either it is the iPad Air (2020) or iPad 10.2 (2020), they can give you one day talk time with a single full charge. You can enjoy up to 10 hours of multimedia.
