Although the Redmi 9 has yet to be officially announced, the device is already listed on an e-commerce site in the Philippines. Thanks to that, the official renders, specs, as well as pricing are all revealed in the listing. According to the renders, the Redmi 9 will be offered in a total of three different colorways including Black, Green, and Purple. The handset will be available in two different memory configurations – 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB which are priced at 6,990 Peso ($140) and 7,490 Peso ($150) respectively.
The Xiaomi Redmi 9 features a 6.53-inch IPS LCD panel with Dot Drop notch. It offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It protects the eyes of the users from harmful blue light. The MediaTek Helio G80 chipset with LPDDR4x RAM powers the smartphone. The handset has eMMC 5.1 storage. It packs a 5,020mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging through USB-C. Xiaomi Redmi 9 will have a quad-cameras system at the rear comprising of a 13 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 5 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. There is an 8-megapixel selfie camera at the front. Some of the other features of the Redmi 9 include Android 10 OS with MIUI 11, dual-SIM slot, microSD card slot, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, GPS, IR blaster, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and AI face unlock.
