Xiaomi Redmi K30 goes official with 120Hz display and Snapdragon 765G

Many Chinese mobile phone manufacturers have unveiled the 5G enabled Smartphones in the world as flagship and more affordable devices. Today (10-December), the xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has officially launched the Redmi K30 5G phone. The company has also unveiled the 4G LTE version of Redmi K30 alongside its 5G sibling.

The Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G has offered 6.67 inches IPS LCD with the Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The 4.38mm size pill-shaped punch hole houses a 20MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor, and the phone has a 120HZ refresh rate. Under the hood, it is powered by 7nm Snapdragon 765G Chipset coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB native storage. Compared to the predecessor, the 7nm Snapdragon 765G SoC offers 10 percent better performance. It runs Android 10 OS customized with the latest MIUI 11 skin. Around the back, the Redmi K30 5G has a vertically shaped quad-camera setup, which includes 64MP Sony primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 5MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Redmi K30 5G packs a 4,500 mAh battery that can support up to 30W for quick charging.

On the other hand, the Redmi K30 4G edition is a cheaper alternative of the 5G model, and it also borrows most of its specs from Redmi K30 5G. The core difference between 4G and 5G editions is, the Redmi K30 4G edition is powered by 8nm Snapdragon 730G Chipset, which also fueled the predecessor Redmi K20 and it can support up to 27W for rapid charging. The rest of the specifications of the Redmi K30 4G edition are identical to the 5G model. The Redmi K30 5G and Redmi K30 4G edition will be available for purchase in January 2020.
