Redmi K40 will have Snapdragon 775 Chipset

Xiaomi Redmi K40 has been tipped multiple times online. The upcoming phone will be debuting as a successor to the Redmi 30 which went official back in December 2019. The standard Redmi K40 has also been certified via 3C which confirmed its existence. Some of its features like display and battery have also been suggested via leaks in the recent past. Now, a popular Chinese tipster – Digital Chat Station has revealed some more important information about the Redmi K40 and K40 Pro.

According to the tipster, Xiaomi will launch the Redmi K40 in the fourth quarter of this year while the K40 Pro in the first quarter of 2021. Furthermore, the Redmi K40 will reportedly feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 775 SoC (SM7350) while the Redmi K40 Pro will feature the SM8350 (Qualcomm Snapdragon 875) SoC. Based on the recent reports, the Redmi K40 may have a 6.89 inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. It will come with 12GB of RAM and 512GB storage. There will be a 4,500 mAh battery that could support up to 33W for fast charging. Redmi K40’s quad rear camera setup will offer a 64MP primary sensor.

On the other hand, two upper mid-range Xiaomi's phones - Gauguin and Gauguin Pro have appeared in the MIUI 12 code. According to the report by Xda Developers, the vanilla Gauguin phone will have a primary lens of 64-megapixel.On the other side, the Pro model is said to have a 108-megapixel main lens.
