Sony Xperia 1 II and Xperia 10 II unveiled with an OLED display and side-mounted fingerprint sensor

Sony today expanded its Xperia smartphone lineup with the introduction of its latest devices – Xperia 1 II and Xperia 10 II. The Xperia 1 II is a 5G flagship phone while the Xperia 10 II is a mid-range phone. Both smartphones have an OLED display and side-mounted fingerprint sensor. According to the company, both smartphones will arrive in markets in the second quarter of this year.

Sony Xperia 1 II

This year's Sony flagship is built around 6.5 inches 4K HDR OLED panel with the now-familiar 21:9 cinematic ratio and 90Hz refresh rate. In the camera department, Xperia 1 II has a triple-camera array at the back with ZEISS optics and technologies borrowed from Sony's Alpha cameras. The phone boasts real-time eye-tracking autofocus and up to 20fps AF/AE tracking burst. For selfies, the Xperia 1 II has an 8MP camera on the front, just like its predecessor. The Sony Xperia 1 II is powered by Snapdragon 865 competes with the 5G modem that works on sub6 networks. It has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone is rated IP65/IP68 for water and dust protection and has a 4,000 mAh with wireless charging support inside. Alongside it, the company also confirmed that it's developing the Xperia Pro, which also works on mmWave networks.

Sony Xperia 10 II

The Sony Xperia 10 II appears to be very acquainted with its predecessor, packing a divisive sweet bar design. After all, there are some welcome enhancements right here together with IP65/68 water resistance, a triple digital camera, and an improvement from LCD to OLED. The Xperia 10 II packs a 6-inch OLED panel with a 21:9 CinemaWide ratio and Full HD+ resolution. The rear camera setup of the phone has an 8MP ultrawide angle shooter with 16mm focal length equivalent, a 12MP primary snapper with PDAF, and an 8MP 2x telephoto shooter. The front-facing camera has an 8MP sensor and is placed in a waterdrop notch in the center of the screen. The battery of the phone is 3,600 mAh, which is over 25% more than last year's model. There is also Xperia Adaptive Charging that adjusts levels of power going to the cell, so it prolongs the live of your battery.
