Royole FlexPai
Royole, a Chinese electronics company, has beaten Samsung, LG, Apple, and Huawei mobile brands by launching the world’s first foldable smartphone, Royale FlexPai, back in 2018. Especially Samsung and Huawei have been working for the last couple of years to manufacture such a foldable device but Royole gets victory over them. The FlexPai bears in unfolding condition 7.8inches AMOLED FHD+ Display which shrinks to 4inches when folded. It has 320g weight like a tablet PC. The Royole foldable smartphone device runs on Water OS as an alternative to Android Pie OS.
Samsung Galaxy Fold
Samsung has announced its foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Fold, at MWC 2019. But, the device will be available in half of this year. Samsung foldable smartphone is expensive even than an iPhone flagship, as it is priced at $2000. Galaxy Fold sports Dual AMOLED Displays where a 4.6inches external screen for smartphone mode and a 7.3inches secondary internal screen for tablet mode. Design looks not bad as of the Royole Flexpai. The hinge between displays is cleverly hidden. Samsung Galaxy Fold highlights are 3-way multitasking, App Continuity, and 6-Cameras.
Huawei Mate X 5G
Huawei surprised us at MWC show with not only foldable but also a 5G device or in other words the world’s first Foldable 5G smartphone, Huawei Mate X 5G. Huawei is proud of successfully developing 5G infrastructure and their foldable device runs on personal Balong 5000 modem and Kirin 980 (a 7nm chipset) rather than Qualcomm X50 modem and SD855. The Mate X 5G was a supero hero of MWC19 with pretty good foldable display technology, 48MP Leica optics, and 55W awesome Fast Charge. Mate X is available for $2300.
LG V50 ThinQ 5G
The V50 ThinQ 5G introduced on Feb 25 event, is not completely a bendable smartphone, but a sort of foldable technology. LG V50 ThinQ comes with a second accessory display that can be joined with a casing to primary V50 Screen making the device foldable. It looks amazing whenever you’re tired from foldable one, remove the dual screen accessory and enjoy a simple high-end smartphone.

Xiaomi Mi MIX Flex
Xiaomi decides to participate in this Foldable Smartphone contest by launching Mi MIX Flex late in 2019. The brand has patented a bendable device, even the Xiaomi CEO in a video teaser showed off using a prototype or module of the MI MIX Flex. The Xiaomi foldable device will have an identical design to the Mate X; however, the specs sheet is mysterious.
Oppo Foldable Smartphone
We are unaware of what the moniker will be used to carry an Oppo Foldable Smartphone. But, we are assured via trusted sources the Oppo will introduce at least a foldable device this year. As for specs, it is only come to know the Oppo foldable smartphone will support 5G.
Motorola Razr 2019
How we can forget Lenovo while talking about a new trend. Lenovo CEO confirmed that the Motorola Razr team is developing a foldable smartphone which will be launched soon. Since the innovation will be introduced in 2019 so it will probably be called Motorola Razr 2019. The thing made us interested all the other foldable phones can be bent in a horizontal way like a book; however, the Motorola Razr 2019 is said to be foldable vertically.
ZTE Axon Flex
ZTE had launched Axon M last year (2018). The Axon M is a Dual Display smartphone which can adopt two modes, smartphone, and tablet. At that moment of announcement, ZTE CEO said they will introduce a truly foldable smartphone next year, which is expectedly Axon Flex. It is suggested to feature an entirely different design against Galaxy Fold or Mate X.
Microsoft Andromeda
The non-famous Microsoft is reported to come back in the mobile market, as it had been stopped launching windows phones for a last couple of years. Microsoft has also offered a patent for a bendable device, rumored to be called Microsoft Andromeda. In a book “Beneath a Surface” by Microsoft Tech Blog, it is mentioned the Microsoft will introduce a Foldable Surface Device in 2019 which will act as a smartphone when folded and will become a tablet in an unfolded condition.
Sony Xperia Fold
Sony is reportedly working on an Xperia foldable smartphone. A patent of such a device has passed through the WIPO (World’s Intellectual Property Organization). Sony foldable smartphone or supposedly Xperia Fold will make a debut by the end of 2019. It is said to have a transparent display view.
Qualcomm suggests in a press conference that there will be approximately 15 foldable smartphones in 2019.
