Design

OPPO A83 is manufactured with aluminum frame. Its body design is so nice. It has 150.5 x 73.1 x 7.7 mm dimensions and 143 grams weight. The screen measures 5.7 inches diagonally. A camera lens next to speaker grille is equipped on the top of display. Sensors are used instead buttons to go back or go to home. Dual SIM tray and a power key are equipped on right side of device. On the left, you’ll find two volume keys to control up and down sound volume. At the bottom, microUSB port and 3.5 mm jack socket are available. The Back side of smartphone is decked with an optics lens coupled with a LED flashlight. Fingerprint sensor has missed there.

Display

OPPO A83 gets 5.7 inches display with an aspect ratio 18:9 to give you full screen for watching and playing. The IPS LCD panel technology is used to show colorful, sharp and vivid pictures. Everything is okay in its price except 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The given resolution supports your HD movies but doesn’t provide brighter scenes as it should be.

Software

OPPO A83 is powered by Android OS v7.1 which is skinned with Color OS 3.2 which is the latest version of OPPOs’ mobile interface. The Color OS 3.2 overlay adds more beauty. It is featured with split screen and do not disturb mode. The interface also supports Eye filter and Face unlock. It brings new themes and premium look. The only deficiency is that the Android 8.0 Oreo is absent, the most upgraded and newest Android OS.

Chipset and CPU

OPPO A83 is running on Mediatek Helio P23 SoC which offers better performance than Snapdragon 625 which means you are getting blazing fast performance for multi-tasking. It is supported by 2.5GHz octa core processor attached with 4GB RAM to endure the load of heavy apps. Lets you play your favorite games smoothly. Mali-T830 GPU provides beautiful graphics and you can enjoy animated videos with ease.

Camera and Face Unlock

OPPO A83 has 13MP Camera on its rear side. It is joined with a LED flash for low light photography. The smartphone can shoot FHD movies as well as HDR images. There is an 8MP optics lens on the front which is dedicated for selfies and video calls. You can capture good-looking selfies with ease.

The front camera also works for Face Unlock security which is the admirable feature of device. OPPO claims Face Unlock can verify person and allow access to device within only 0.18 second. Furthermore, the Face Unlock has 128 unique points to identify you. So let’s start getting the advantages of faster face unlock security within a low price.

Battery

OPPO A83 is backed by 3090mAh battery. It gives up to 10 hours talk time, up to 22 hours music play time, up to 4 hours video playback time, and up to 6 hours web browsing time. There is lack of fast charging option that’s why you’ve to wait some more to recharge battery.

Price

The Global Price of OPPO A83 is $215. Actually, it depends on your region and the carrier or store from which you are buying so visit two or more local stores to get a better idea about actual price.

Last Lines

In our opinion, OPPO A83 is very good for your everyday usage. Even it is better than OPPO A75 and A75s. OPPO A83 has faster face unlock, 5.7 inch large display, good photography result, smooth performance, and an easily affordable price tag. If your requirements are slightly higher then you should purchase OPPO F5 but you’ll also have to pay $300.
