OnePlus 4 Rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 830 that will support 8GB of RAM

It seems that the Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has already started working on its next flagship OnePlus 4. The device is rumored to be powered by Snapdragon 830 processor that will support 8GB of RAM. The chipset is not launched yet and the OnePlus 4 will be unveiled in 2017.

According to a Weibo post the OnePlus 3 was launched in June this year so the next flagship is also expected to land in the market in the same timeframe. The latest chipset from chipset maker Qualcomm is Snapdragon 821. The Qualcomm hasn’t announced the Snapdragon 830 chipset yet but last month Samsung hinted that the chip will be developed by using 10nm process.

The chipset is speculated to support 4K display resolutions, an octa-core setup, and up to 8GB of RAM. Samsung’s upcoming smartphone Galaxy S8 and Microsoft Surface Phone are anticipated to come with Snapdragon 830 chip. The OnePlus 3 houses a 3,000 mAh battery and the OnePlus 4 is expected to pack a 4,000 mAh battery.

Moreover, the upcoming smartphone will run Android 7.0 Nougat with Oxygen out of the box. It is also expected to be clocked at 3GHz and own 6 or 8GB of RAM.

The company is also rumored to unveil an upgraded version OnePlus 3T with Snapdragon 821 processer while the base model is powered by Snapdragon 820. The OnePlus 3T will feature a sport a 16-megapixel Sony IMX398 sensor. Instead of Optic OLED panels the OnePlus 3T is rumored to switch to LCD display. The expected price of the new variant will be $479.
