Snapdragon 835 gets Benchmarked, Galaxy S8 Tipped to be Powered with the Chipset

Qualcomm has announced its latest chipset Snapdragon 835, the chip has surfaced online. The upcoming Galaxy S8 US version is expected to be powered with Snapdragon 835. The chip is previously sampling with customers, and would be produced in Samsung's foundries at the 10nm process.

According to Keving Wong, the CEO of research shop IHS for China, the Xiaomi Mi 6 would also be powered with Snapdragon 835 SoC. The manufacturer has already confirmed that Samsung will mass produce the SD 835 and that the later will get an initial flavor of the fiend chip. What's more interesting, though, is the graphics presentation, because the new Adreno 540 GPU scores are about 30% higher as compared to the 530.


The Snapdragon 821 is made with 14nm process; it is fast and efficient than its predecessor, so the latest chip is supposed to be more powerful because it will be build on 10nm production process. The chipset will feature eight cores, Kryo 200 CPU, Adreno 540 GPU and UFS 2.1 support. The chip is said to land in the market in 2017, so we expect that Galaxy S8 would be the first device to feature the Snapdragon 835 SoC.

 

Moreover, the Galaxy S8 is rumored to come dicth 3.5mm headphone jack and enhance wireless technology.
