Amazon Fire Phone hands on, feel the fire

Introduction

Amazon is going aboard on an ambitious mission to smash into the highly rewarding smartphone market one that’s conquered by many top class candidates that don’t want to face other competitors. Last month Amazon introduced the high end device named “Fire Phone”. The handset has a two major qualities, the handset supports many Amazon services which are the pre installed and one of the wonderful features is 3D effects display. The handset also has a good hardware combination. Let us see in detail what this 3D fire pone has on it.

Specifications

Design and Display

According to the design the handset has a resemblance with the other smartphones like Google Nexus 4. The fire phone has a glass surfaced with the delicate profuse bezel. The handset weighs 160 grams which is quite suitable for this type of large smartphone. The handset dimensions measures 139.2 x 66.5 x 8.9 mm which means the handset will not give the thick look. After looking at the handset bezel and according to the measures we can say that the Amazon try to reach towards the inconspicuous approach on their maximum extent. For a phone that’s going head to head adjacent to some of the other giant’s rivals according to the specifications. Amazon Fire Phone has a 4.7 inches PS LCD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The main discussion point in the display is 3D effect which gives the live look to images, animations or the movies.  In the account of design and display the handset takes the 3D advantage and maybe users love and amaze while using the display of fire phone.

Software and User Interface

The Amazon Fire Phone is not astonishingly running a heavy adapted Android experience. The handset runs the Amazon’s own designed Amazon Fire OS v3.5 (Android based OS). There is no doubt that the operating system is based on Android platform but, the operating system is not completely depending on that Amazon gives their own operating system on the handset. The Amazon Fire OS v3.5 operating system is also light in weight and consumes the less power and provides the complete helpful and easy interface with the complete user guide. If users are stuck anywhere while using the handset the user guide will appear automatically for the assistance and keeps the users away from the interface problems.  

Processor and Memory

The fire phone is powered with 2.2GHz quad-core processor with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 system on chip. Adreno 330 GPU placed on the handset for efficient graphics interface working. The handset is equipped with 2GB RAM along with 32 or 64 GB in built memory option. Unfortunately the inbuilt memory cannot be extended externally because the handset does not have a card slot for insertion of external microSD card. The hardware appears effective to give the Amazon Fire Phone a fair amount of sensitivity of working with those heavy 3D effects.

Camera

The handset has a powerful 13 megapixel rear camera. The camera has additional features like f2.0 aperture lens and optical image stabilization. The handset also has a 2.1mega pixel front facing camera which has a selfie feature. According to the camera pixel density the camera behaves well and gives the good quality of images to the users.

Battery

Amazon fire phone is powered with Non-removable Li-Ion 2400 mAh battery which gives the stand by time up to 285 hours and talk time up to 22 hours. There is no doubt that the handset battery gives the good back up time as well as the talk time but, there is a drawback which may affect the handset popularity among the users. The handset has a non removable battery and if any mishandling happens with the battery users need to replace the complete handset instead of replacing the battery.
