In the month of MAY Acer was announced the handset named “Acer Liquid Jade” and they will launch the latest version of the handset name “Liquid Jade S” in the middle of December 2014.
According to the appearance the handset is quite similar with the elder brother but fortunately Liquid Jade S is Acer first 64 bit handset and it is embedded with 1.5GHz Octa Core processor with MediaTek MT6752M chipset. This new handset will be appearing first in the home land of Acer which is Taiwan. The release date of this handset is 18th December and company set the price tag of $225 for the handset.
The Acer Liquid Jade S is the Android based handset and runs KitKat version of operating system but in future the operating system can be upgraded with Android lollipop. It has 5 inches large display with 720 pixels resolution. The handset has the power of 2GB of RAM along with 16 GB on board memory which can be further increased externally with the smart 13 mega pixel rear and 5 mega pixel front facing camera. It supports dual SIM and LTE connectivity and energized with 2300mAh battery. The handset measures 143 x 69 x 7.78 mm and has 116 grams weight.
For now we only know that the handset will only be available in Taiwan but after that according to the company schedule the handset will also appear in other regions.
