Alcatel is another player in IFA. Recently Alcatel introduce their new family member known as “Alcatel One Touch Hero 2”. The handset takes the official place during IFA 201. This is the successor of previously launched handset known as Alcatel One Touch Hero. The handset has 6 inches TFT LCD display with 1080 pixels resolution. According to the screen size the handset also stands in phablet category. The handset screen is protected with Dragontrail glass and oleophobic coating. Some of the specifications are same like the original Hero but the latest one has a slim body. The handset measures 7.9 mm thick.
The handset is powered with 2 GHz Octa Core Cortex A7 processor along with MediaTek MT6592 system on chip. Alcatel placed 2 GB RAM with 16 GB on board memory. The on board memory can be extended up to 32 GB via micro SD card. The handset is featured with 13 mega pixel rear camera with optical image stabilization option. The handset is energized with 3100mAh battery which gives 380 hours stand by time and 10 hours talk time on 3G and 4.5 hours talk time on 4G network.
The handset fulfills all the requirement of latest connectivity such as 4G and LTE and the phablet comes with S Pen. The S Pen increases the typing speed of the users. The handset first hits the European markets by the end of September. The handset will be avaiable in €350. There is no information avaiable that the handset will be avaiable outside Europe or not but it is expected that the company will touch some other regions besides the Europe as well.
