The HP Slate7 Plus features a 7 inch screen and is powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 3. The tablet comes with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of native storage and is available in silver for $149.99. We should mention that Android 4.2.2 is pre-installed and that a 4000mAh cell keeps the lights on. You can buy the HP Slate 7 Extreme for $199.99.

With a 7 inch display offering resolution of 1280 x 800, the Extreme has the NVIDIA Tegra 4 under the hood here with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage. Inside, a 4100mAh battery powers the slab, and Android 4.2.2 is pre-installed. This model is available in Slate silver. Or shall we say that this model will be available in Slate silver. Right now, the Slate7 Extreme is out of stock.

If you are looking to go off the beaten path for the purchase of an Android tablet, you might want to see if HP has what it takes to get your business. A couple of low priced 7 inch models compete in a pretty filled niche, and the Slate 8 Pro is a lower priced Apple iPad mini competitor.

And that brings us to the HP Slate 8 Pro. Equipped with an 8 inch screen made with Gorilla Glass and carrying resolution of 1600 x 1200, the Slate8 Pro is also powered by the Tegra 4. With 1GB of RAM and 16GB of native storage, this model comes in Snow White (dwarfs not included) for $329.99. A 5680mAh battery powers the tablet while Android 4.2 is driving this puppy.
