iPhone 6s vs iPhone SE: What’s new in the Upgraded one

Apple unveiled iPhone SE and 9.7 inch iPad Pro on 21st March in an event in California. iPhone SE seems second generation of iPhone 5s, obviously the device is upgraded version and it comes with advanced features and specifications.

Over two years ago Apple launch 4 –inch iPhone 5s, and now In Mobile World many smartphone makers are using 5-inch screen so what’s the point of getting back to 4 inch display? Well, the Apple lovers still love to own 4-inch display because it is easy to use and easy to hold. At the launch of the device Apple claimed that iPhone SE has many features of latest flagship iPhone 6s. Whatever the reason of launch is let’s dig in and find out how both mobiles are similar.

The iPhone 6s comes with a 4.7-inch display and 1334x750-pixel resolution at 326 pixels per inch ppi; 1400 to 1 contrast ratio; Dual-domain pixels for wide viewing angles. The dimensions 138.3mm x 67.1mm x 7.1m and weight is 143 grams, it has 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage options. The mobile is powered by A9 chip with 64-bit architecture and M9 motion coprocessor. It comes with a 12 MP rear camera with True Tone flash which can record 1080p video. It has another 5 MP camera for FaceTime and 720p HD video. The smartphone has a 1715 mAh which can be used up to 12 hours battery life mixed usage.  The iPhone 6s has a 2nd generation Touch ID with NFC.

iPhone SE

The tinny iPhone SE device features 4-inch Retina HD display with 1136x640 resolution at 326 pixels per inch (ppi); 800 to 1 contrast ratio. The dimensions are 123.8mm x 58.6 mm x 7.6 mm and weight is 113 grams. The device is powered by A9 chip with 64-bit architecture and M9 motion coprocessor. It comes with 16GB or 64GB storage options. The rear camera is 12 MP with True Tone flash and it can record 1080p videos. There is another 1.2 MP camera for selfies, FaceTime and for recording 720p HD video. To keep the device on a 1642 mAh non-removable battery is used which can be used for up to 12 hours battery life mixed usage.  It has Apple Pay and 1st generation Touch ID.


Hence there are many noticeable differences between both devices, so after the fact we barely say both devices are same. Actually the device is made upon heavy demand of users for iPhone 5s, According to a report Apple sold 30 million iPhone 5s in 2015.  There are many people who want to upgrade their devices but they can’t afford to buy latest flagship so Apple gave them chance to own mobile which comes with many features that the latest flagship has. Thought there is huge difference in prices of both devices so anyone can easily go with $399 device.
